Rev. Broyles is a 1977 graduate of Howard University in Washington, DC and a 1980 graduate of the New York University School of Law in New York, NY.  He practiced law in the state of Ohio and in Washington, DC for more than 35 years and retired on Christmas Eve in 2015.  Rev. Broyles obtained the master's degree in divinity with Honors from the Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC in 2017, and also received an award from the NYU faculty for biblical teaching.

Rev. Broyles was introduced to Jesus Christ at the Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church in Lima, OH, where his father served as pastor. He was baptized by his father at an early age. Rev. Broyles was licensed to preach in 2013 and was ordained in 2016 at Mt. Jezreel Baptist Church in Silver Spring, MD under the Rev. Eldridge Spearman, where  Rev. Broyles served as the Associate Minister for Missions,  taught and preached the Gospel. Rev. Phill's passion is to serve God by teaching and preaching.  He has taught adult Bible Study and Sunday School for more than 30 years.

In addition to serving as Associate Pastor, Rev. Broyles leads the Missionary Circle Ministry and teaches the Laura P. Wimberly Sunday School Class. He serves as Director for Men and Co-Director for Christian Education for Ark of Hope Community Center, a nonprofit organization focused on Foreign Missions. Rev. Broyles has traveled to Kenya and other countries since 2014, spreading the gospel and sharing the love of Jesus Christ.

Rev. Broyles and his wife, Debra, are the proud parents of a daughter, N'Keesha Facey (Akeloe) and a son, Antonio Broyles. They are also proud and doting grandparents to two grandsons, Elijah and Noah Facey.
