Rev Cynthia Meekins-Mattocks
Associate Minister
Rev. Cynthia Meekins-Mattocks is a graduate of Hillside High School in Durham, NC. She attended NC A&T State University in Greensboro, NC, majoring in Health and Physical Education. Rev. Meekins-Mattocks earned a BA in Psychology from Shaw University, and a Master of Arts in Agency Counselor Education from North Carolina State University. She completed the Master of Theology at the N.C. College of Theology in Wilmington, NC. Chaplain Mattocks earned Ministerial and Chaplaincy Ordination credentials from the International Congress of Churches and Ministries. After completing a two-year Residency in Clinical Pastoral Education in Clinical Chaplaincy at UNC Rex Hospital, she maintains her affiliation and relationship with UNC Healthcare System's Clinical Pastoral Care Division. Reverend Mattocks is the owner and operator of "A gift of Presence", a life and spiritual coaching entity specializing in the transfer of God's resources through gifts of legacy in the Wake County area.
Rev. Mattocks was licensed and ordained as a minister of the Gospel in March, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC.
Rev. Meekins-Mattocks and her husband Henry Mattocks, have two adult sons, Michael and Kevin (Amber), and one grandchild Evan.
