First Baptist Church is honored to announce that Rev. Darian C. Bouie has been selected as our Pastor-Elect!

Founded in 1812, First Baptist Church has stood as a beacon of faith, justice, and service in the Raleigh community for over 200 years. As we continue to build on this rich legacy, we rejoice in this historic moment. Rev. Bouie will become the 11th Senior Pastor in our church’s extraordinary history.

Rev. Bouie brings over a decade of pastoral leadership, community engagement, and gospel-centered teaching. Known for his heart for people and passion for preaching, he has led vibrant ministries focused on spiritual growth, justice, and outreach. His commitment to building bridges across generations and creating a culture of belonging and impact makes him a dynamic leader for this new season.

We are excited about what God is doing in the life of our church. Under Pastor-Elect Bouie’s visionary and spirit-led leadership, we believe that God is calling us into a bold new season of growth, outreach, and transformation.

Join us in celebrating this powerful move of God and praying for our church family during this transition!
